Our Story
A boutique safari company shaped by years on the ground.
Travana Holidays was founded by explorers who spent two decades living and working across East Africa — and many more years roaming wild places around the world. From the plains of the Mara and Serengeti to the forests of Bwindi, our founders have walked the ground, slept under the canvas, and built lasting friendships with the guides and communities who make these landscapes what they are.
We started Travana out of a deep passion for wildlife, wild country, and the people who call it home. Today, we're a small, fiercely independent travel company. We don't sell packages off a shelf. We don't take guests to lodges we wouldn't recommend to family. Every itinerary is built from a blank page, by hand, by people who have spent a lifetime learning what makes a journey truly unforgettable.

- Local school sponsorship and teacher training
- Community ranger and anti-poaching support
- Women-led tourism enterprise (beadwork, hospitality, guiding)
- Wildlife veterinary and rescue programmes
Every year, we publish a transparent impact report so our travellers see exactly what their journey supported.
